Prokhorov, Russians “done” with Jason Kidd as Nets coach
Just a couple of hours ago, a story emerged out of nowhere that Nets coach Jason Kidd made a power play with the team, demanding a front office position. When the team declined, the Milwaukee Bucks requested and were granted permission to speak with Kidd about a position in their organization. As the story unfolds throughout the night, another detail has emerged that Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and his Russian ownership team are “done” with Kidd as the Nets coach, per Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski
As for U-Turn back to Nets? Likely too late. “Russians are done with Kidd,” one source tells Yahoo. Belief is that King is more forgiving.

As referenced in my original article when the news broke, this reaction comes as no surprise. Prokhorov has shown he is a strong-minded, and even a stubborn man who probably did not take very kindly to Kidd’s attempt to bully him into doing something he didn’t want to do.
As details emerge, it seems like a more realistic scenario that Kidd may have intentionally set this messy break-up in motion so he can flee to Milwaukee into a situation he prefers.
