WATCH: Mets turn triple play against Dodgers

  • NYSK Staff

Thanks to some errant baserunning by Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, the New York Mets pulled off their first triple play in over four seasons. New York’s Lucas Duda caught Puig rounding third and gunned it to home for the third out, completing the 5-4-3-2 triple play.  Watch the video here!

The Mets won the game 11-3 on Duda’s two home runs and five RBIs on the day along with this impressive triple play. Of course, the fault is also on Puig who took a gamble rounding third and got caught in doing so. This is the second time the Dodgers have been caught in a triple play this season.
