20120406-lens-barton-slide-K3ZU-blog480

As 2013 winds down and everyone prepares for 2014, the NYSK writers wanted to take some time  to talk about the ups and downs of the past year (mostly downs for all of our teams). Today, we will look at the year in review for the New York Rangers.

In this year-end special, we will talk about the good, the bad, and the outlook for 2014.  The Rangers, so far, haven’t quite experienced the success they during they 2012-13 season. That year, the Rangers made it to the Eastern Conference semi-finals where they were eliminated by the Bruins. In 2013, the Rangers currently stand at a record of 19-19-2, with head coach Alain Vigneault–who is in his first year has Rangers’ coach. It has been a rough going for the Rangers, though, with a new coach, goalie controversies and struggling players, but things are finally starting to turn around for them, as there’s still hope for the Rangers to make a playoff run.
