Young Mets Fan Asks Jesus Why the Team is So Bad
If you’re a Mets fan, you know it’s not easy to root for this team. The team has often been the laughing stock of the league and have only won two World Series since their first year back in 1962.
For many fans, it takes a long time to feel defeated by the lack of production by the Mets. One fan has discovered this rather early in life, and is asking a higher power “why?”
A man named Zack Hutchins tweeted this picture to Deadspin after his friend’s son Charlie asked Jesus why the Mets were so bad at church on Sunday. Bleacher Report saw the tweet and instantly ran a story:

Unfortunatly for young Charlie, this may be a question that even Jesus can’t answer. The Mets have been comically bad for the last six years and haven’t made the playoffs since they lost in the NLCS in 2006. Although the age of this fan has been concealed, it is very likely that for his whole life, the Mets have been one of the worst teams in the MLB.
After Sunday’s 2-1 loss to the Cardinals, the Mets are now 2-4 through six games this season.
