Report: Al Jefferson may miss game four

  • Andy Flint

Just when we thought it couldn’t get worse for the Charlotte Bobcats against their mountain of a first-round opponent, news has broke that the Bobcat’s best player, Al Jefferson, may miss game four against the Miami Heat on Monday night, in Charlotte.

It was fair to say that tonight’s game may have marked the end for the Bobcat’s 2014 playoff run anyways, but with Jefferson’s likely stint on the bench, the Bobcat’s chances of winning a huge game four, against the defending champs seems slim-to-none.

Jefferson has had a great first season in Charlotte, but battled a bout of plantar fasciitis. A battle Jefferson has ultimately lost as the season progressed.

If Jefferson misses game four, this will certainly be a huge blow for a young team, who struggles to score outside of the big fella.

The Bobcats, however, have made great strides this season. It’s their first playoff birth since back in 2010. A playoff run that ended in a first-round sweep at the hands of the Orlando Magic. Despite a sweep at the hands of the Heat, this playoff run is still a great start for the Bobcats, as they look well on their way to bouncing back from NBA purgatory.
