Al Jefferson’s Three-Pointer Ties The Game!
Al Jefferson has been extremely productive in the NBA, and extremely under appreciated. He was a major part of the trade that sent Kevin Garnett to Boston, and has blossomed into a very good player since.
He’s the definition of a double-double. Between Minnesota and Utah, he has averaged around 20 points and 10 rebounds per game over the past few seasons. Unfortunately for him, he’s never really been on a serious contender, so his game tends to fly under the radar. He’s a big part of the bruising front line of the Utah Jazz that features Jefferson, Paul Millsap, and Derrick Favors.
He has only made one three-pointer in his career. Until now.
With the Jazz down three against the Toronto Raptors, Al Jefferson rattled home a big three-pointer to send the game into overtime. You can see the footage below:
I’m sure the Jazz don’t want their fortunes in the future relying on Big Al hitting three-point shots, but what a play! With only two seconds left, this had to have felt like an absolute dagger to the Raptors.
