Allen Iverson is known for a lot of different things. The practice rant, his flashy scoring abilities, and just his overall image. You either love A.I., or you hate him.

After not being able to find a team to play for in the NBA, Allen Iverson has been playing overseas in China. He might need to ask for a pay rise, as he apparently has some serious financial problems.

Via TMZ:

NBA superstar Allen Iverson is set to lose his home after defaulting on his mortgage.

The sportsman’s $4.5 million mansion in Atlanta, Georgia will go up for auction this month after bank bosses foreclosed on the property.

The house and its contents will be auctioned off on December 4 if Iverson fails to reach a deal to save the property, according to TMZ.com

This is tough news to hear. Yet another star athlete that made massive amounts of money, only to fail to manage it properly. Hopefully he can figure this whole mess out and get back on track.

  • Just bc he is letting the bank foreclose doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have the $ to pay the mortgage or that he mismanaged his $. Maybe the value of the property has decreased and he knows that even if he sells it he will lose millions. In that case why not let the bank deal with it? Allen iverson is not like any other athlete who has gone broke. He is a lot smarter than you give him credit for and he still has plenty of $.

    • Born, how can you be so blind??? do you not remember his gigantic money sucking posse during the hay days. he lost something like 8 million when he sold his house after the Philly trade. say what you want BUT THAT IS LARGE! hell, i like Al. loved to watch him play. i am sorry he is in this mess but he has no one else to blame but himself and you can bet HIS bottom (last) $ he IS broke and the posse don’t know him no more!

  • HAHAHAHA his hand tattoo says “money bagz” I bet he wishes he had bagz of money rite now
BUT I still like Iverson and wish him the best of luck

  • Allen Iverson’s down fall is none of our concern and should not be used for jokes.Becoming broke
could happen to anyone of us. Iverson has problems just like the rest of us. (DONT USE HIM FOR JOKES)

  • Thats humorous Born…Haa!!

  • It ain’t what you make, it is what you don’t spend. AI is a jerk and has overspent. I feel no sorrow for him. Maybe he can go get a real job using that fine education he received when he attended Georgetown. Oh, he wasted that, too? Tuff tinsel.
