Andre Drummond Posterizes Ersan Ilyasova

  • Mark Evans

When the Pistons took 19-year-old Andre Drummond out of Connecticut with the number 9 overall pick, they knew they were getting a talented kid. The notion around the league was that he would be a bit of a project; he’s still extremely young, and many believe he massively underachieved at Connecticut. He’s one of the most talented big men around, it’s just a question of whether he can put it all together.

It’s only the preseason, but Andre Drummond has looked great so far. A big man combination of Monroe and Drummond could be problems for the NBA, which is moving towards small lineups.

For those of you who have doubts about his ability, watch the video below. Or ask Ersan Ilyasova.

Congrats Ilyasova, you’ve been posterized. Next time Andre Drummond is coming at you, I would just get out of the way.

  • Wow, way to overreact! Wasn’t even that good

  • I’m from Detroit. Hell yes it was that good. We haven’t had a big man like this since…EVER. And you just watched a 7′ tall, 270 lbs rookie more or less jump over an interior defender. Said rookie is apparently one of the nicest kids you will ever meet, according to all reports. So when a truly good guy, who listens to his coaches and teammates and just does everything he can to get better, blocks a shot with helpside defense (miss you Ben Wallace) and then runs the floor to be in on the mega-jam at the other end, well, that is pretty special. If you turn the sound up you can hear how hard he slams it. Music to my ears. Feel free to Troll or hate or whatever it is you people from non-NBA having states do when someone else is happy : )
