Ben Wallace sentenced to one-year in jail

Former Detroit Piston, Ben Wallace has been handed a sentence of one-year in jail, stemming from a hit and run accident back in February. Wallace pleaded no contest, on Tuesday, to the charges of leaving the scene of an accident.

Of course, we know how the justice system works, and Big Ben won’t serve much more than a Paris Hilton type term behind bars.

Wallace received a one year jail sentence.

The Henrico County judge suspended all but two days of the sentence. Wallace started serving his two day sentence Tuesday.

A car registered to the former Defensive Player of the Year slammed into a fence last month. An eye witness watched the event unfold.

“It was dark, but it’s clear from here I saw one person trying to fight to get out of the car,” homeowner Silverio Acosta said in an interview last month.Once the man got out of the SUV, Acosta said he saw the man pick up and smash pieces of wood against the fence “because he was angry.”

That man ended up being Wallace, and now Ben faces what most out of control teen celebrities would consider to be hard time.. two days in the clink.
