Brandon Jennings criticizes coach Jim Boylan for timeout call

  • Frank Santos

Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings has not been shy at all discussing his displeasure with the Bucks, or his potential departure from the team when he becomes a free agent this summer.  Jennings, who is as dangerous a player as we have in this game when he gets it going, took another opportunity to lash out on twitter at his current coach, Jim Boylan.

During the Bucks 109-99 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder this past Saturday, coach Boylan called a timeout with just under thirty seconds remaining with his team down ten points. Jennings wasn’t thrilled with the decision, as noted in this now deleted tweet after the game where he says “Took a Timeout with 29sec down 10pts. Didn’t know it was 10pts plays!!!”

Clearly, Jennings is being sarcastic in his tweet, and this is just another sign that his days in Milwaukee are probably coming to an end sooner rather than later. Coach Boylan doesn’t have anything to apologize for, either; coaches are notorious for coaching games until they are over, no matter the situation. Boylan was probably figuring this was a good real-game situation to draw up a late-game play that the team could possibly use when they were actually in a close game.

However, its not like the Bucks are going to need those in the playoffs, considering they probably won’t come within 10 points of the Miami Heat when they inevitably meet in the first round this year. Boylan won’t have to worry though because by the time he does need that play they ran, Jennings will be part of another NBA roster.
