Bulls Fans Shot After Win In Philadelphia

Sports are a huge part of many people’s lives, and sometimes things get taken a little too seriously. It’s important to keep in mind that at the end of the day, there are far more important things in life than your team being better than another person’s team.

Someone should tell this to some Philadelphia 76ers fans.

After the Chicago Bulls beat the 76ers on Wednesday night, a couple of Bulls fans were shot after talking about the game. Via the Chicago Tribune:

Two Bulls fans bragging about the team’s 96-89 victory in Philadelphia Wednesday night were shot while riding a train on the west side of the city, police said.

The shooting happened around 10:40 p.m. after “a little bit of banter” between the two fans and two other people, described as between 16 and 19, at 46th and Market streets in West Philadelphia, police said.

This is certainly way too extreme for any sports game. Nobody should be put in danger because of a game, and some people apparently need to take it way less seriously.

These are the kind of things that professional sports could do without.
