Daily Dish Report: Jordan interview, Larry Sanders isn’t smart, Lakers streak, Iguodala and more

Trade talks between the New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets are heating up.

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily Post, the Nuggets and Knicks are discussing a trade that would send Iman Shumpert to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Kenneth Faried. Whether this works for both teams is another story. Faried is a hybrid type of player that would help the Knicks on the boards, but also hurt their spacing in the half-court set. Not to mention the Knicks are at their best when Carmelo Anthony is playing the power forward position. For the Nuggets, they’d acquire a young perimeter defender and basically would change their name to the Denver Knicks.

Andre Iguodala apparently expressed interest in joining the Golden State Warriors during last year’s playoff series while he was a member of the Denver Nuggets. Rumor around the campfire is that Ray Allen may have done this as well during his last season with the Boston Celtics. (SF Gate)

The news keeps getting worse for Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders. First, Sanders will be out up to six weeks because of an injury that took place at a club. Now the athletic big man is being cited for animal cruelty. I can hardly wait to see what this genius will do next. (Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel)

Rockets ball hog James Harden has one hell of an ugly foot. (Jocks/Stiletto Jill)

The Los Angeles Lakers 320-game home sellout streak has ended. You mean nobody wants to watch Steve Blake, Nick Young and Chris Kaman play? That’s the not Los Angeles fan base I know! (Bleacher Report)

Yahoo did a “sketchY” that was a fake “30 For 30″ documentary on the movie Space Jam. I didn’t find it that funny, but apparently everyone else thinks it’s hilarious. I guess Doug Gottlieb doesn’t do it for me. (Eye On Basketball)

In case you missed it, Michael Jordan sat down with NBA 2k and talked about his favorite dunk, shoes and the number 23. (SlamOnline)
