DeMar DeRozan Takes a Shot at Nets’ Payroll
The first round of the NBA Playoffs have been an absolute treat for basketball fans everywhere. There are five game sevens, and most of the series have been extremely competitive throughout.
Although it probably hasn’t gotten as much attention as some of the other matchups, the Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors have had a tight series. There has been a little bit of trash talk lately, particularly from Andre Blatche. Then, of course, there’s the kind of sort of not really back and forth with Drake and Jay-Z that may or may not have much to do with basketball.
To add a little fuel to the fire, DeMar DeRozan took a shot at the Brooklyn Net’s payroll.
DeMar DeRozan: “We ain’t got no 100 million, whatever payroll they got. Hey, that’s all on them … they have more to lose than us.”

DeRozan, of course, is referring the the $102 million payroll that the Nets have this season. It’s a steep price, particularly when you take into account the luxury tax implication.
If all of this talking is played out on the court, it could be a fun Game 7.
