Dirk Has Standing Max Offer From Team Other Than Mavericks

  • Mark Evans

Dirk Nowitzki has agreed to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks for 3 years and $30 million, although it has yet to become official. We all expected Dirk to return to Dallas, and no one really thought he would even test the market.

Well, although Dirk has already come to terms on a new deal, he reportedly has another offer on the table. The Houston Rockets have a max contract standing offer for Dirk, according to the great Woj.

I mean, I don’t think Dirk is leaving, but sure.

Seems like the Rockets really want to lure Dirk away from the Mavs, huh?

The Rockets seem to be in the market for a stretch power forward, as there are also rumblings about trying to bring Chris Bosh to town.
