Dwyane Wade underwent shock treatment for knee tendinitis
Dwyane Wade has really slowed with age. Some of that is due to his reckless style of play, but as fans, we wouldn’t have had it any other way. The same things that made Wade such a dynamic NBA talent over the past decade, are the same things that have likely contributed to his quick decline. Not to say Wade doesn’t have it anymore. We’re talking a man who’s fresh off of two consecutive NBA championships. Titles Wade played a HUGE role in securing for the Miami Heat. But the truth is, Wade isn’t Flash anymore. Not the way he used to be.
Wade has faced some injury issues over the course of the past two or three seasons. Sure, the Heat have won back to back titles, but they did so with Wade at far less that 100%. Wade has battled through some knee issues, and it’s clearly showed in his game. Just last month Wade underwent OssaTron shock treatment on his knee in hopes to help with tendinitis.
“I had to take a month off after I did my treatment and this weekend will be a month to the day,” he said during an event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. “It’s the kind of treatment for tendinitis, certain areas in your knee.”
We’ve watched other players recover from knee injures and come back looking almost as good as they did before. On the other hand, we’ve also seen careers ruined because of a bum knee. Wade feels like his recovery is right on track, and that he’ll be good to go.
“Feeling a lot better,” Wade said Thursday. “Right now I have to work on the strengthening part of it. So, I still have time before the season. By the time the season [starts], I think I’ll be as good as I’ve been.”

The fact of the matter is that the east has reloaded and everyone is gunning for the Miami Heat. LeBron James, Chris Bosh and company are going to need Dwyane Wade at his best in order to shake of the would be assassins, aiming for them this upcoming season. The Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers have all improved this off-season, and everyone is looking at the crown.
