Dwyane Wade Will Start In Sunday’s All-Star Game
After being unsure if he’d be able to play in the All-Star Game, Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade says he has regained feeling in his left foot and says he’ll be able to play in the game. This is obviously great news for the NBA since Wade is the face of the most dominant team in the NBA. Even with LeBron James being the best player on that team and arguably the best player on the planet, Dwyane Wade is still the face of the Miami Heat franchise and forever will be. Having him in the game makes for a much more interesting and exciting game since he is one of the top 5 most popular and important players in today’s game.
In addition, Wade is also deserving of this All-Star honor. I know Kyle Lowry and Lance Stephenson both are deserving guys as well, but Wade is averaging a solid 18.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game to go along with 1.6 steals. That isn’t bad for a guy who is banged up to the extent that he is, and when I looked around at the guys who were up for selection, my vote still went to Dwyane Wade when it was all said and done. Hopefully he is able to have an effective All-Star Game and put on a show for us, because at the rate his body is deteriorating, we really don’t have many All-Star Games left that will feature D-Wade.
