Gordon Hayward to sign max offer sheet with Hornets
The Charlotte Bobcats had a very promising season last year after the addition of Al Jefferson and the emergence of Kemba Walker, though they were slept by the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs. Now the Charlotte Hornets, the team is looking to add another big piece to surround Jefferson and Walker, and have potentially found their guy as they have signed Utah Jazz swing-man Gordon Hayward to a ‘major’ offer sheet:

Update: The offer sheet is a four-year, $63 million max deal, per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports

There is really no way the Jazz can match this offer. Simply, they need to spend their money wisely, and Hayward, while talented, cannot be the teams focal point. For the Hornets, it seems like a great fit, and Hayward really compliments the games of both Jefferson and Walker. The ball is now in Utah’s court, and we will see what they do.
