Hornets rookie Noah Vonleh is out 6-8 weeks
Hornets rookie power forward Noah Vonleh is out 6-8 weeks following surgery to repair a sports hernia. Here is the Hornets’ official statement on Vonleh and his condition:
September 2, 2014 – Charlotte Hornets forward Noah Vonleh underwent successful surgery today to repair a sports hernia suffered in a recent workout. The surgery was performed in Charlotte by Dr. B. Todd Henneford. Vonleh is expected to miss approximately 6-8 weeks.
The ninth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Vonleh was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and Third Team All-Big Ten in 2013-14 at Indiana University after averaging 11.3 points, a Big Ten-high 9.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 26.5 minutes per game.
