James Anderson’s Rejection On Mike Miller
The NBA world has been buzzing about Gregg Popovich resting some of his key players last night against the Miami Heat, and the news that David Stern had promised a punishment, for no good reason. The Spurs actually made it a great game against the defending champions, and actually had the game in control until they made some crucial mistakes late in the fourth quarter.
Reserve James Anderson made a play that was big at the time, blocking Mike Miller’s fast break layup attempt in the fourth quarter. Watch below:
Who knew James Anderson could do that? I mean, we know Mike Miller isn’t the most athletic guy in the NBA, but a very impressive play by Anderson nonetheless.
Although they lost, the Spurs definitely flexed their muscles a little last night. Without Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard, and Stephen Jackson, they hung in there with the defending champions. In fact, the Spurs kind of had the game in the bag until Gary Neal started chucking ill-advised jumpers and turning the ball over.
