John Wall explains why he shot bad in Game 3
The Washington Wizards have been somewhat of a Cinderella story in this year’s NBA playoffs. A main reason for that is the way John Wall has been able to pick apart defenses and find the open shooter. However, with that said, shooting hasn’t exactly been a strong point for Wall this postseason. In fact, Wall’s shooting percentage is sitting at 34 percent going 40-for-117 from the field.
After a 6-13 shooting performance in Game 3, Wall explained the reason he shot so poorly. The reason makes sense, but what about the seven turnovers during the game or the previous 104 shot attempts?
“I barely could see after I got hit in the eye,” he said. “I got a cut on my eye so I had to put contacts in to get the medicine to cover the cut.”
Wall should be alright for Game 4. The Wizards will need him to rebound from a poor Game 3 if they hope to level the series at two games a piece.
