Kevin Johnson: Deal In Place To Build New Arena In Sacramento

  • Mark Evans

When talk of the Sacramento Kings moving to Seattle was first brought up, fans and people around the league jumped all over the possibility. To many, it seemed as if the move was almost a foregone conclusion.

Well, it appears now that the Kings may not be leaving Sacramento after all.

According to Kevin Johnson, ex-NBA player and current mayor of Sacramento, there is a deal in place to build a new arena in downtown Sacramento.

This is certainly an interesting development, as Sacramento may get to keep their team after all.

Of course, the team could still work on putting together a competent roster of players to stay out of the cellar on a yearly basis.
