Kevin McHale not happy with Daryl Morey
Kevin McHale is clearly ready to lead a team to the playoffs and coach a winner. The man was part of great Celtic teams and is very competetive. Losing his entire power forward rotation was not what he had in mind during the trading deadline, and his frustration is starting to show. This morning on In the Loop AM610, John Lopez (@LopezonSports) mentioned how McHale was not happy with Morey’s decision to trade Patrick Patterson and Marcus Morris for a rookie and a second round pick. This trade essentially forced McHale to play Donatas Motiejunas and Thomas Robinson, two players that are obviously not ready to contribute big minutes on a playoff team. The audio that was played, featured a frustarted McHale that was not happy with the rebounding effort his twoyoung power forwards were providing.
Friction clear inside Rockets power structure. Texans could have made exact Bolden deal… why not? Plus F.A. primer cbsloc.al/W56qho

Even though McHale is upset with Morey, John mentioned that Morey might be more upset with McHale for “standing on the table” and requesting the drafting of Royce White. Royce has been not only been a bust this year, but a big distraction. The drafting of Royce will be blamed on Morey, but maybe McHale should take some responsibility for not having another power forward in his rotation during the playoff push.
The Rockets are currently the 7th seed in the West, but were not considered serious title contenders before the trade. Morey is obviously thinking about the future, while McHale wanst to win now. This fued between upper managment might not be too serious at the moment, but if the Rockets were to miss the playoffs, the trade and relationship between McHale and Morey will be questioned.
