Many believe Wade is a dirty player, for incidents such as the Rondo one.

After his kick to Ramon Session’s groin that earned Dwyane Wade a one game suspension, Dwyane Wade took to twitter to tell all of his followers that he is not a dirty player. This seems ordinary, right? The strange part is that the Miami Heat organization actually took the time to fire back at the league for their decision regarding Wade’s suspension.

Via ESPN:

In the wake of Dwyane Wade’s suspension for kicking Charlotte Bobcats’Ramon Sessions in the groin, the Miami Heat took the unusual step of issuing a statement firing back at the league office on Friday.

The Heat said they disagreed with the suspension and further complained about how their players have been being treated by opposing teams recently. Wade, the Heat said, is one of the players the opposition “takes privileges with.” They said they had “made their feelings known to the league office.”

The Heat referred to Wade’s 10-year record as being “an exemplary player and positive influence” in their dispute of the ruling. The league does not typically explain disciplinary decisions but has reviewed several Wade fouls and actions over the last few seasons without taking further action.

After pulling down Rajon Rondo a few years back and dislocating Rondo’s shoulder, throwing Mike Bibby’s shoe, and laying out Darren Collison, it’s hard to not at least consider whether Dwyane Wade is a dirty player. It’s clear that Wade plays with an edge, and many believe that it crosses the line into dirty play.

Regardless, the league’s decision stands, and the opinions of many fans have been formed one way or another.
