“Missing Deron Williams” Poster Displayed Outside Barclays Center
When Deron Williams came to New Jersey Nets in a trade from the Utah Jazz, he was supposed to be the star point guard that would help lead their franchise that would soon be moving to Brooklyn. For the most part, you would be hard-pressed to find someone that would disagree with you if you called Williams a disappointment in his Nets tenure. That has been evident now more than ever, as the Nets prepare for a game six against the Toronto Raptors, where they will face being eliminated from the playoffs.
One of the primary reasons the Nets find themselves in their current predicament is the under-performance of Williams, who has been outplayed by Raptors opposing point guard Kyle Lowry for the most part in the series. There have been whispers that Williams has yet to receive the “New York treatment” as a player from a fan-base that is notorious for being hard on its players, especially its stars.
Those whispers seem to be coming to an end, as you can see from this poster that has been displayed outside of the Barclays Center, presumably from a disgruntled Nets fan.

It’s put up or shut up time for D-Will. I guess we will see what he is made of tonight. If the answer isn’t what Nets fans and their organization expects, he may end up on the trading block.
