Nene set to return for the Wizards

NBA: Miami Heat at Washington Wizards

After spraining his left MCL back on February 23, Wizards center Nene is finally ready to play. According to ESPN, Nene will play in tonight’s game against the Bobcats, though he will be playing limited minutes. The Wizards have found success in Nene’s absence  by clinching a playoff spot thanks to John Wall’s great backcourt play and Marcin Gortat’s great play in the post. But that doesn’t mean that they don’t need Nene or that he isn’t an important part of their team. He has been averaging 14.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. Those are solid numbers for a big man, and if they can get him back to playing full minutes in the playoffs, they could have what it takes to pull a first round upset.
