Nicolas Batum’s HUGE dunk on Dwight Howard

  • Andy Flint

When he’s not attempting to punch dudes in the junk during the Olympics, Portland Trail Blazer, Nicolas Batum, spends his Wednesday nights posterizing perennial defensive players of the year.

Watch Batum take Pau Gasol to the hole and finish hard in the face of shot-blocking extraordinaire, Dwight Howard.

Yikes! This jam by Nicolas Batum came with about 7:00 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and gave Portland a 72-64 lead over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers.

No doubt about it. Nicolas Batum has ups! This dude can soar and so much more. Nicolas would finish the game with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The Trail Blazers cruised to their 1st victory of the season over the heavily favored Lakers, who seemed to struggle in both of their regular season (and preseason) games this season.

Portland looked good all night. Causing a lot of chaos for the Lakers. LaMarcus Aldridge had 19 points, Wes Matthews had 22 points and rookie point guard, Damian Lillard, chipped in with 23 points and 11 assists in the beat-down of LA on Portland’s home floor.

  • That wasn’t really on him, more like around him. Nice dunk, but nothing to headline a post.

  • Exactly, Chris. Writer is obviously gettin’ off on the fact that Batum dunked near Howard. Let’s see what happens when Batum gets up with Howard standing IN FRONT of the basket…
