The Utah Jazz are taking their sweet time to find a new head coach, but it’s possible that they are getting close. According to Jody Genessy of the Deseret News, Quin Snyder is a leading candidate for the vacant head coaching position in Utah:

Now, Snyder has emerged as a leading candidate to become the next head coach of the Utah Jazz, according to multiple sources.

“It’s very plausible,” one source told the Deseret News when speaking of Snyder possibly being hired by the Jazz.

Another source said Snyder is “very high on a short list” of Jazz coaching candidates.

Bulls assistant coach Adrian Griffin and Clippers assistant coach Alvin Gentry, who  have interviewed for the Jazz head coaching job are also in the mix as well. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of coach the Jazz hire. Will they go for a guy who has actually been an NBA head coach or will they take another gamble on a guy who has never been an NBA head coach?
