Rajon Rondo has his second 20 assist game of the season in a victory over the Raptors today

The Celtics and more notably Rajon Rondo got back on track with a victory over the struggling Toronto Raptors 107-89 this afternoon. Rondo who sprained his right ankle against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, looked like he was 100 percent as he dished out 20 assists for the second time this season.

Rondo is now averaging 13.4 assists per game, over three assists per game greater than second place leader, Chris Paul. On this pace, Rondo is on pace to challenge the all-time record of 14.5 assists per game over a season held by Utah Jazz legend, John Stockton. With the 20 assists in today’s game, Rondo also extended his streak to 33 with at least 10 dimes.

Rajon Rondo is truly on an unbelievable streak and should garner some MVP consideration with his high-caliber play this season.
