Rashard Lewis to sign with the Miami Heat

Just a week after signing future Hall of Famer Ray Allen, the Heat bring in another sharpshooter in Rashard Lewis. Despite Lewis’ struggles the last few seasons, he brings another perimeter shooter to make plays while the defense concentrates on Lebron and Dwayne Wade. Rashard Lewis was amnestied a few weeks ago after being traded to New Orleans for Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza. Lewis, a 39 percent three point shooter, reunites with Ray Allen in their glory days in Seattle. Which direction will Miami go after this signing? After losing out to Marcus Camby yesterday to the Knicks, look for Miami to continue their big man pursuit that they have longed for.

But in the meantime, opposing defenses will have headaches night after night having to focus on Lebron and Wade and still have to contain terrific shooters in Allen and Lewis.
