Reggie Evans to the Nets

In a sign-and-trade maneuver, the Los Angeles Clippers will deal forward Reggie Evans to the Nets, according to CBS Sports.

While he is not known for his offensive game, Reggie Evans is one of the toughest rebounders in the game, as we saw in spurts during last season’s playoffs. He provides his team with a lot of energy with his gritty style of play.

According to the report, Reggie Evans will earn $1.6 million from the Brooklyn Nets for the next three seasons. This will fit into a trade exception that Brooklyn currently holds.

In exchange, the Los Angeles Clippers will receive a future second round pick.

The motive for this on the side of the Clippers is most likely to clear space and playing time for recently acquired forward Lamar Odom, who is looking to revive his career in Los Angeles after a disappointing season in Dallas.

Reggie Evans averaged 2 points and 5 rebounds last season as a Clipper.
