Report: Knicks may opt for Raymon Felton and Let Jeremy Lin Walk

  • Frank Santos

In a story that has taken many twists and turns, it seems that Jeremy Lin’s journey in the NBA may have just taken another. It all started with the Rockets offering Lin a three-year deal. Originally, this wasn’t significant, because all signs led to the Knicks matching the offer. Coach Mike Woodson even said that the young point guard would start over veteran Jason Kidd. However, now there is speculation that the Knicks will pursue former Knick Raymond Felton, and let Jeremy Lin become a Rocket.

Here is a tweet from Yahoo! Sports’ Marc Spears:

Raymond Felton is currently a free agent after a very disappointing season with the Portland Trail Blazers. To be honest, Felton was never the same after he left New York in the Carmelo Anthony trade, and the Knicks may be the best place for him to rekindle his career. It is interesting the 180 that the Knicks organization has made, since originally many were saying the Knicks would match ANY offer made to Lin.

To me, Jeremy Lin is a complete mystery, as he probably should be to most people. The sample size just isn’t significant enough to me in order to make an opinion either way. I do know one thing though, Linsanity won’t be nearly as Linsane in Houston as it was in the big apple if this report comes true.

One Response to Report: Knicks may opt for Raymon Felton and Let Jeremy Lin Walk

  • Look’s like Dolan fooled us all if they let Houston get Lin. I heard that the Knicks haven’t received the offer sheet so the 3 day limit hasn’t started. They may be waiting to see if Felton would come.
