Scott Brooks and Thunder agree to 4 year deal

  • Mark Evans

After making it to the finals for the first time, the Oklahoma City Thunder took another step to securing their core for years to come.

Today, the Thunder came to agreement with head coach Scott Brooks on a 4 year deal worth $4 million per year. Securing Brooks was a priority for the franchise, who have one of the most promising rosters in the league that includes Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Serge Ibaka.

This young Thunder team always play extremely hard for Brooks, which management took notice of.

This deal does not exceed the deal of Boston’s head coach Doc Rivers, who makes $7 million per year.

Brooks, just like his team, has a lot of growing to do over the years, but this group certainly has the potential to win several titles over the years.

Next order of business? Finding a way to lock up Harden and Ibaka.
