“And the improvable dream season, contuines here in Phoenix” said Suns broadcaster Steve Albert, after a Suns win during the 2013-2014 NBA Season. Oh wait, there’s more. “The Phoenix Suns are a lottery limbo, how low can they go”. Quoted one NBA preseason predictor, they even went on to say the Jeff Hornaeck would not win much as his first season as coach.

When the Suns won there 26th game in January, after only winning 25 games last season, these negative preseason predictions came to a close. Starting off the year 19-11 and going 10-3 in Decemember. Predictions from ESPN, Sports Illustrated, CBS, NBC, and USA Today all had the Suns the lowest of the low, going from a record of 16-66 and a high of 22 wins, reported S.I. I don’t think the Suns this upcoming season will even glimpse at the preseason predictions. As they were robbed a NBA Playoffs spot this season.

Not only did the 48 win Phoenix Suns prove everyone, including this writer who lives in Phoenix wrong, but this season saw the rise of almost every player on the team. This is something the NBA should focus on. The season saw the rise of Goran Dragic, Gerald Green, Ish Smith, Eric Bledsoe, and Miles Plumlee. Dragic was robbed of a NBA All Star spot on the Westren Conference team, Gerald Green is among the top players for Most Improved player, along with a highlight or five, Ish Smith, Eric Bledoe and Plumlee really showed what they can do night in and night out when given the time to play. Honorable mentions for a fantastic season are simple. The twins, Markieff and Marcus Morris, Channing Frye and P.J. Tucker really showed that they belong, and Frye and Tucker proved they should be starting.
