The Daily Dish: Heat/Bulls, Westbrook, Kobe, Doc Rivers, Knicks, Nets, Bird and more!
The Miami Heat showed us last night why they are the favorites to repeat again in 2014-2015
Last night kicked off the start of the NBA season and the return of Chicago Bulls star, Derrick Rose. The Bulls took on the defending champion, Miami Heat, in what turned out to be a mostly lopsided affair in favor of the Heat. The Bulls made a late run, but never truly threatened the outcome of the game.
No offense to the Orlando Magic or Indiana Pacers, but that game wasn’t on the minds of many. However, the night-cap matchup of the Los Angeles Lakers/Clippers proved to the surprise of the night. The Lakers ended up blowing out the Clippers on opening night despite playing without Kobe Bryant. It’s just one game however, and many have the Clippers pegged to go deep into the playoffs. The Lakers on the other hand may end up being a little better than everyone’s initial predictions.
