The Jazz Are Trying To Trade Some Of Their Veterans
Sportando is reporting that the Utah Jazz are looking to trade some of their veteran shooting guards/small forwards:
The Jazz will be active in trade talks with a handful of veterans in the last years of their deals including Richard Jefferson, Marvin Williams and Brandon Rush.
The reason the Jazz are interested in doing this is to shed cap space since all these guys have expiring contracts. Maybe they can get some draft picks for them to help them build through the draft, etc. Another more cynical reason to believe the Jazz are doing this is because the team is winning a bit more often than they would like, and since they are hoping to draft Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins in June, the Jazz feel like getting rid of these three guys or even a couple of them will increase their odds of landing the top pick.
