Utah Jazz President awkwardly explains how handsome Raul Neto is
For Jazz fans anxiously waiting on what’s going to happen to their team in the future with the team holding the fifth overall pick in the NBA draft, the wait before their selection is tiresome.
The Jazz are hosting nearly 100 pre-draft workouts for the second straight season and are spending a ton of money evaluating what they have to work with moving forward.
As part of the extensive process, the Jazz are hoping to find some diamonds in the rough like they have in years past. Names like Wesley Matthews and Paul Milsap have carved out pretty solid careers after Utah gave them a chance. Another player who hopes to make his name known in the association is guard Raul Neto, who is currently continuing his career in Liga ACB before the Jazz bring him to the NBA to showcase his skills.
As part of the team holding onto his rights, he comes to Salt Lake every now and then to workout with the staff and players.
Jazz president Randy Rigby appeared on Salt Lake’s 97.5 The Zone today with Spence Checketts and Gordon Monson and discussed Neto being in Utah – while awkwardly letting everyone know how handsome he is.
When asked about the international players that the Jazz have rights to Rigby responded with:
“We’ve actually had Raul, he’s been in town. He looks, by the way, GREAT. For our female fans by the way, he is very, VERY handsome. I think if and when he participates in the Jazz team, he’ll have a lot of fans, female fans, cheering for (him)”
Reading the text alone doesn’t do it justice. If you listen to the interview around the 15-minute mark, Rigby stumbles awkwardly on his words and sounds twitterpated while speaking of the Brazilian baller.
Neto has to finish out his contract before the Jazz can have him in, but they can pull some strings should they decide they’d rather not wait.
The ladies will then become even bigger Jazz fans, according to Rigby.
