WATCH: DeMar DeRozan’s 360 layup
The Portland Trail Blazers traveled North of the border on Sunday to face-off with the Toronto Raptors. It was a game filled with big shots, and highlight plays.
This crafty layup came with about 1:30 seconds to go in the first half and brought the Raptors closer to the Blazers with a score of 52-54.
This is essentially a broken play, as Jonas Valanciunas get’s stripped going to the basket. Fortunately Kyle Lowry comes up with the ball and finds a streaking DeRozan on the baseline, who finishes, in traffic, with a 360 layup.
DeRozan never hesitated to challenge LaMarcus Aldridge on the acrobatic layup, and the results were amazing. DeMar DeRozan finished the night with 29 points, and teammate, Rudy Gay, chipped in with 30 points of his own, but it wasn’t enough as the visiting Trail Blazers came up with the hard-fought win in overtime, by a score of 118-110.
Damian Lillard had 25 points and eight assists in the win, while LaMarcus Aldridge nothed 25 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Nicolas Batum, who did a little bit of everything, rounded out the 20+ scorers with 24 points of his own.
