WATCH: Jeremy Lamb hammers home big dunk

  • Andy Flint

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been looking for ways to replace the scoring left on the table after losing James Harden just over a year ago. Kevin Martin shouldered some of the load last season, but eventually moved on to Minnesota over the Summer, leaving a once dominant Thunder unit extremely short-handed when it came to guy who can score.

Sure, the luxury of guys like Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook is great for OKC, but there aren’t many scorers on that roster behind those two. One guy the Thunder are hoping can fill some of the void left by Harden/Martin is youngster, Jeremy Lamb. Lamb came to OKC with Kevin Martin, int he deal that sent James Harden to the Rockets.

Lamb showed some evidence of life on this play, as he was rewarded for trailing on the fast break, and finished with an athletic dunk.

This nice play came with about 8:45 to go in the first quarter on Saturday night, and tied the game at 27-27. Lamb played 27 minutes with the Thabo Sefolosha out with the flu. Lamb seven points on 3/11 shooting, but dunks like this are his silver lining, as the Thunder continue their search for some help putting points on the board.
