WATCH: Kyrie Irving destroys Sixers’ guards two times
At this point it’s safe to say that former Duke product, and current Cleveland Cavaliers star point guard, Kyrie Irving, is a top-tier NBA talent. Uncle Drew is living it up on the NBA hardwood and during his commercial spots in between timeouts.
Watch as Kyrie, flat out, punishes Sixers’ rookie, Michael Carter-Williams, with a sick crossover, before splitting the defense and finishing at the rack. Something we’ve all become accustomed to seeing out of the young fella. But that isn’t where it ends. The Cavs come up with the rock after some sloppy passing by the 76ers and Kyrie makes MCW watch as he does much of the same to his teammate, and former first-round pick, Evan Turner.
Kyrie decides to give the rock up the second time around, and hits Alonzo Gee in the corner for the three, as the Cavaliers push their early, 1st-quarter lead to 19-9 over the visiting Sixers. It’s fair to note that Gee was the one who made the steal in order for the second play to even happen. It’s nice to see Kyrie reward his teammate for the hard work, by finding him wide open in the corner.
Most of you are probably remarking about how this is only preseason, but the smack Kyrie laid on both Carter-Williams and Turner will surely stay with them the next time these two teams do battle in the regular season.
