WATCH: Lance Stephenson destroys Courtney Lee with crossover
When the Boston Celtics traveled to Indiana to square-off with the Pacers on Sunday night, I bet guard, Courtney Lee, never envisioned himself laying on his back due to a wicked crossover from Lance Stephenson.
Courtney Less has always been considered a pretty solid on-the-ball defender in this league, but Lance dazzles with some crazy moves that remind us all of what we’d see if we had attended an And-1 street game back in the early 2000’s. Lance displays a classic case of over-dribbling, before finally sending Lee to the seat of his pants, and then drilling the long two, from just inside the three-point line.
Ouch! Lee reaches a bit, and then gets thrown off balance by a wild spin move, before falling victim to a nice crossover from Stephenson. The entire sequence by Lance is something I could see Frank Vogel not appreciating… that is, of course, until Lee hits the deck and Stephen drills the bucket.
The long two by Stephenson made it an 82-56 lead for the Pacers with about 11 minutes to go in regulation. Indiana would hold on to win by a score of 106-79 at home. Lance Stephenson finished with another triple-double, notching 12 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds.
