The Pau Gasol trade rumors may not be on the same level of annoyance of Dwight Howard, but is quickly gaining steam. At least Gasol was already traded, although that was nixed by commissioner David Stern. The Lakers have already brought in Steve Nash to solve their point guard woes, but apparently may not be done mixing up their roster.
In the latest rumor report, Gasol emailed back the La Times claiming there are no guarantees he’ll be back. This doesn’t come as a surprise obviously, with general manager Mitch Kupchak, already saying that the roster is not complete.
According to the LA Times:
“We all know by now that there are no guarantees in this business.”
“I want to win another ring and I cannot see any other place better than the Lakers, and LA, my city, to do so.”
Paul Gasol says he loves the addition of Steve Nash and is excited to play with him.
“Steve is one of the most talented point guards of all time, and a player I personally admire,” Gasol said. “I really can’t wait to play with him.”
If Gasol comes back he said he very hungry to win another championship for the Los Angles Lakers.
“I really like our chances.”
“I know the team will be as hungry as ever to win a championship.”
