According to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Peyton Manning will be the new quarterback of the Denver Broncos. Of course this barring any setbacks during the contract negotiations, which are said to be intensified under the construction of Manning’s agent Tom Condon.
Once the contract comes to fruition, the Broncos will then try to trade Tim Tebow. This comes to a blow for the much maligned Tebow who has fought his detractors the last couple of seasons who said he couldn’t quarterback in the NFL. Tebow seemed to prove them wrong to some degree as he led the Broncos past the Steelers in a wild card showdown upset, before being upstaged by the New England Patriots in the next round.
This move instantly catapults the Broncos into favorites to win the often sub par AFC West, and AFC Super Bowl contenders. The Broncos still will have to make a few more moves, but adding a 4-time NFL MVP to your team instantly bolsters your odds of winning tenfold.
