Cardinals cut Trevardo Williams a week after signing him
Football can be a cruel business sometimes. A week ago,Trevardo Williams was waived by the Houston Texans – the team who had drafted him in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. The Arizona Cardinals then decided to claim him off waivers.
Now a week later, Williams is looking for a new team as the Cardinals decided to release him
The Cardinals obviously feel that they have sufficient depth at the outside linebacker position for them not to need the services of Williams.
Williams is a product of the University of Connecticut an honor he shares with arguably the worst draft bust selection of the Ken Whisenhunt era, Cody Brown, who was drafted in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft and didn’t make a single appearance for the Cardinals in two years.
The Cardinals take on the Houston Texans on Saturday evening in their first game of the preseason.
