Tyrann Mathieu is ready to get back into the spotlight and play in Prime Time
The “Tenacious One,” Tyrann Mathieu is back at it again as he continues to rehab from his surgically repaired knee. He had no time-table set on his return to the field. Many have speculated he would miss all of training camp, as well as the preseason, maybe even the beginning of the 2014 regular season, even Mathieu himself wasn’t sure. Regardless, his rehabilitation efforts have gone extremely well, he could even be way ahead of schedule.
My last piece on the Honey Badger’s rehab, he tweeted that he ran 3 miles. It was all a hoax though, as Tyrann was just playing an April fools joke on all of us. Well it is may now, and April fools is long gone, but in Mathieu’s latest episode of Tenacious (that can be found on the Cardinals website), it appears obvious that the Honey Badger is indeed running, which is some awesome news. Perhaps that’s where this tweet came from.

Mathieu is clearly determined to get through his rehab no matter what it takes. He is a man of many motivations, his newest motivation being the Cardinals 2014 Schedule that was released last week (April 23rd). The week 1 matchup vs. the San Diego Chargers at home is that motivation, as it will be broadcast on in prime time on Monday Night Football. Mathieu was ecstatic when he heard the news; and he want’s nothing more than to be a part of the action, and take the field with his teammates that night, as well as for the rest of the scheduled opponents.
Nobody, including Mathieu really knows for sure if he will be fully ready to go when the Arizona Cardinals take the field on that Monday night; but one thing is for certain, the Honey Badger will continue his “Tenacious” efforts towards reaching that goal.
