WATCH: Martin Prado smacks home run for his 1000th career hit

  • Dylan Veltkamp

Martin Prado decided that the best way to celebrate his 1000th career hit was to go yard off of the Dodgers in the 9th inning.

Prado is just the 26th Venezuelan born player to reach 1000 hits, and at 30 years old, it isn’t hard to envision Prado reaching the 2000 hits milestone by the end of his career.

Home runs have come scarcely for Prado this year, so watching him hit this bomb for his 1000th career hit off of one of the best closers in the game in Kenley Jansen, you couldn’t help but be happy for the D-backs third baseman. Congratulations to Martin.
