WATCH: Adam Jones stuns Yankees and Mariano Rivera with 2-run blast

It’s not often that Mariano Rivera has failed the New York Yankees over his 19-year career, but today was one of those days.  With the Yankees eying a key sweep of their AL East rival Baltimore Orioles, you wouldn’t be able to blame even Orioles fans for not having much hope of salvaging the win.  Don’t tell that to All-Star OF Adam Jones, who delivered a surprising 2-run blast off of the all-time save king and fellow All-Star, getting that important win in what seems to be a race that will go down to the second half of September.  Watch the blow delivered by Jones (courtesy of

Jim Johnson of the Orioles recovered from an equally crucial blown save on Friday to shut the game down, ending the Yankees 6-game winning streak.
