Cano bids Jeter farewell with $34K watch
Derek Jeter is retiring and every team is honoring him and showering him with gifts the last time he plays in their city. We know.
Three legends (Chipper Jones in 2012, Mariano Rivera in 2013 and Derek Jeter in 2014) have retired in the last three seasons, and they’ve all received the farewell tour treatment from the league.
Every team has honored these baseball greats with some kind of gift that represents their city and ball club and they usually include some sort of charitable donation on the player’s behalf.
Robinson Cano, the other half of Derek Jeter’s double play combo from 2005-2013 has decided to take the gift giving to a personal level. Cano gave Jeter a Jay-Z Hublot watch valued at approximately $34,000 as a sign of friendship. It’s gorgeous and if any of my friends would like to purchase one for me, I would accept it graciously.

The Jay-Z watch is fitting for Cano to give as a gift as the rapper/mogul is Cano’s agent.
