Dodgers open to dealing Andre Ethier?

  • Jimbo

ESPN’s Buster Olney dropped a bomb on Twitter Monday night. Apparently, the Los Angeles Dodgers are willing to move outfielder Andre Ethier after he signed a five year, $85 million deal during the season.

There’s plenty of teams looking to add serviceable outfielders (cough Yankees cough), so a deal for Andre Ethier could actually come to fruition as free agency begins. Ethier batted a solid .284 in 2012, while drilling 20 home runs and adding 89 RBI’s.

The more curious part of this story will be what type of compensation for Ethier the Dodgers will ask for, and what kind of market they would find if indeed they were to shop the 30 year-old outfielder.
