The Toronto Blue Jays’ superstar right fielder, Jose Bautista, has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with left wrist inflammation. This is terrible news for the Blue Jays, as Jose Bautista has become a perennial MVP candidate. Bautista finished fourth in the 2010 MVP voting and third in 2011. As of now, Jose Bautista currently has 27 home runs, placing him second in the American League in that power category. Adam Dunn leads the A.L. in home runs with 28. The Blue Jays have a 45-45 record but sit in fifth place in the ever-so-strong American League East. How the Jays will hold on without Bautista is yet to be seen, but it will surely be tough. Anthony Gose will replace the slugger on the roster. The reports have been posted by both MLB and the Toronto Blue Jays. Further medical examinations are scheduled in the upcoming days.
