According to multiple reports and sources around Major League Baseball the Minnesota Twins will hire one of their own Hall of Fame infielder, Paul Molitor, tomorrow morning to be the 13th manager in club history.  The 58-year-old Molitor will reportedly sign a three-year deal replacing longtime Twins manager Ron Gardenhire who was let go shortly after the season.  Molitor has never had any managerial experience spent 2014 as a coach on Gardenhire’s staff.

Molitor is a Minnesota native who played baseball for University of Minnesota and spent his final three seasons in Minnesota where he reached his 3,000 career hits in a Twins uniform.  The Twins organization had Molitor as a candidate back in 2001 before hiring Ron Gardenhire.  Molitor will be the third manager for the Twins in the last 28 years since the retirement of Tom Kelly and the release of Gardenhire.
